Sharper, but fair.

The Correction Bit is the sharpest bit in our gag line, made for advanced horses only. It's still a gag, so the delay arrives before the sharpness. The horse gets time to think and make the right choice before the bit asks harder.

Zorik's take: "This is for the horse that knows exactly what I'm asking, and sometimes just doesn't want to do it. The delay gives him time to think about whether it's worth it, before the sharpness comes."

Best for

  • Advanced, challenging horses
  • Horses that understand the cue but sometimes choose not to follow through

Not for

  • Young, green or sensitive horses, or horses still learning what's being asked
  • Using a harsher bit to fix a stop. A harsher bit won't fix a training problem, and it can add stress.

Which MTO bit is right for my horse?

What size are MTO bits?

All MTO bits have a 5" mouth, which fits most horses. On our gag bridles, you can adjust the fit by sliding the two knots on the rope.

What are MTO bits made of?

Stainless steel, made in the USA. The Comfy Port D is wrapped in silicone, and our gag bridles use a stiff lasso rope for a clear, gradual signal.

Do you offer returns or exchanges if the bit doesn’t fit?

Yes! We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is unused and in its original condition.

How long does shipping take?
